Chris began his tattoo journey as a collector, getting his first tattoo in the early 1990s. His passion for the art form grew as he added to his collection over the years, eventually leading to an opportunity to learn tattooing in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 2005.

With a solid foundation built from years of experience as a client, his philosophy has always been to ensure that customers understand both the possibilities and the long-term considerations before committing to a tattoo. He strives to help each person make the best possible choices for their first, or next tattoo.

In 2008, Chris returned to Australia and worked in Brisbane, honing his skills before opening a successful Queensland studio, which he operated for 13 years. He later relocated to Danang to establish Lantern and Moth Tattoo, with a vision to collaborate with both local and international artists and bring something fresh to the Danang tattoo scene.

Chris’s preferred style is Western traditional — bold lines and solid colours built to stand the test of time.
