At our Da Nang Tattoo Studio we have tattooed dragons as small as 4 or 5 cm and large enough to cover a full back. We have created them in colour and in black and grey, from European to Asian and specifically Vietnamese dragons. Dragons are incredibly versatile subject matter for a tattoo artist.
They can be bold and simple in a western traditional style or highly detailed in full colour realism. Few designs move with the body the way a dragon can. Challenging and rewarding to create, they remain one of the most striking choices at our Tattoo Shop Da Nang.
We have not yet completed a truly epic piece running from the ankle up the leg, across the hip and onto the back, but we are looking forward to the day that request comes in. We have tattooed dragons that were pre booked months in advance by clients travelling internationally for their Tattoo Da Nang experience. Sometimes we begin with just the head and one claw in a bold placement, leaving room to expand the piece into a full sleeve later. Personally, I love large scale dragons, but we genuinely enjoy creating them in all sizes.
